Common Questions

  • Do I need to be a member to join a workshop or event?

    Not beforehand.
When you join an Almost Local workshop or event, youโ€™re automatically welcomed as a Free Almost Local Member. This gives you access to our newsletter and community updates โ€” a simple way to stay connected beyond the session.

  • Do I need to be based in New Zealand?

No. Almost Local is designed as a global community. Workshops, 1:1 sessions, and Coffee Circles are available online, with optional in-person gatherings in selected cities.

  • What is the Almost Local Membership?

The Almost Local Membership is our Core paid membership for those who want ongoing connection and access to community experiences.

It includes: Free access to monthly Coffee Circles; Priority booking for workshops and events; Member-only reflections and resources; Discounts on selected experiences

  • How much does the Almost Local Membership cost?

You can choose the option that suits you best:

    • NZ$70 for 6 months

    • NZ$120 for 12 months

The 12-month option offers the best value and supports longer-term connection within the community.

  • Is there a monthly payment option?

At the moment, the Almost Local Membership is available as a 6-month or 12-month commitment only.
This helps create a more stable, grounded community rather than short-term drop-ins.

  • Can I upgrade from Free to Almost Local Member later?

    Yes โ€” anytime.

    12-month: Ideal if you want ongoing connection and support throughout the year;

12-month Premium: For those who want deeper continuity, priority access, and smaller guided spaces.
