Almost Local In-Person Workshop "Embracing the In-Between"

Location: St Heliers, Auckland.

  • Because moving abroad isn’t just logistics—it’s emotional whiplash. Our live gatherings mix the comfort of coffee (or tea!) with unfiltered conversations about the real side of life abroad.
  • This isn’t another “how to pack your boxes” workshop. It’s about you—the person behind the move. Together, we’ll explore the emotional rollercoaster of migration: the good, the hard, and the messy in-between. We’ll turn challenges into strengths.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Turn loneliness and cultural confusion into fuel for growth.

Who You Are:

Maybe you’ve just arrived in a new country—or you’ve been abroad for years, even 10–20- and still wonder, “Is this it?”

Life between cultures can be thrilling—and challenging. Identity, belonging, and the ups and downs of starting over are part of the journey.

Our interactive workshops bring together fellow “almost locals” who get it. You’ll feel connected, supported, and inspired through meaningful conversations, practical tools, and shared experiences.
